#2016Grammys: Kendrick Lamar Tops With 5 Wins, Taylor Swift Wins Album Of The Year And Takes Jab At Kanye West

28-year-old rap artist, Kendrick Lamar who had the most nominations with eleven, won a total of five and the most awards at the 58th GRAMMY Awards. He scooped the nods for best rap song, best rap performance, best rap/sung collaboration, best music video and best rap album.

Lamar aalso electrified the event with a politically charged performance of 'The Blacker the Berr' and Alright with a stage production that saw him coming on stage in chains, and finished with a map of Africa with the word “Compton” in the middle – his home city.

Taylor Swift's "1989" album also won "Album of the year" and in her acceptance speech, she took a jab at Kanye West as a reply to his "Famous" lyricks, “I made that bitch famous.”

Taylor first thanked her collaborators and producers, and then she got into it:

"And as the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to the young woman out there, there are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you will look around and you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world."

As far as other big winners of the evening, Justin Bieber finally won his first Grammy, The Weeknd won two, while Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk won record of the year and best pop duo/group performance. Check out full list of winners below:
