Ex-Ghanaian international striker, Augustine Arhinful has suggested that, Afriyie Acquah and Jordan Ayew should be sacked from Ghana’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda as he believes may be the best for the national team.
In an interview with Joy FM, he hinted that if there is enough evidence to prove tension between the two players, then the managers of the team should sack both players from camp.
Mr. Arhinful's proposal comes after a leaked audio in which Afriyie Acquah's wife, Amanda was heard revealing in a leaked audio details of an apparent four-year sexual relationship with Jordan Ayew.
He said, “[The GFA] should seek audience with [the two players], and if indeed anyone is harboring something then both players should drop from the team.”
“Because it is likely to bring problems in the set up. Whether we like it or not, it’s an issue we need to deal with. The Black Stars is supposed to assemble next week for an important game. [The GFA] must speak to them privately and [it must be done] now!”, he added.
Arhinful also warned Afriyie Acquah about his wife who has been involved in several controversial leaked tapes in the past.
