Maybe at this point in your life you’ve learned how to beat your face better than the pros but in the steady progression toward perfection you’ve probably bombed a couple of times along the way with these make up blunders. With so many new makeup products, colors and techniques being introduced, it’s easy to stick to “what we know”.
Even after tracking down the right lipstick, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, and other makeup, it’s easy to apply it all incorrectly.
However, sometimes “what we know” can be the very thing that unknowingly leads us to choosing and applying makeup in a way that doesn’t complement our skin tone or features.
Check it out and learn from your mistakes.

1.Black pencil for the eyebrow
That’s a big NO! It’s harsh and sometimes makes you look like a scarecrow, black is not ideal to use on a darker shade woman. Opt for a BROWN pencil instead.
2.Bald eyebrows
Eyebrows are 75 percent of your face, so why would you shave off your eyebrows just to draw it back… Trimming it and getting a good shape for filling in is appropriate.

3.Using extremely light concealer for outlining the eyebrows (I’m guilty as charged sometimes). Choose a right light shade that can easily be blended in for outlining your perfect shaped brows.
4.Black lip liner! I don’t understand this! Use a lip liner that goes with your lipstick and stay away from black!
Wearing the wrong shade of foundation where your face and neck are two different colors! – Always remember that foundation isn’t a bronzer. It’s not designed to change the color of the skin. With that in mind, choose a foundation that closely replicates the natural color of the skin. It may not be possible to find a single product that does this effectively. For more natural results, buy two or three different shades and mix them to arrive at the right color.
Spider Eyelashes- please leave that for Halloween, shows or Nicki Minaj video. Eye lashes should not be that long to give you the wow eye effect, making it longer looks fake and does not blend in your makeup properly.
Improper blending of techniques– Without blending makeup properly, it’s not going to look natural. This applies to foundation, blush, and eye shadow, which all need to be blended in a smooth and seamless way.
Use a softer tone blush for the cheeks instead of a shouting pinky color which can make you look like a clown.
Too much bronzer– It’s nice for skin to have a healthy glow and the right bronzer can make that happen. However, it’s easy to go too far with bronzer. When that happens, the skin can take on a strange, orange appearance. It is immediately obvious that bronzer has been used. When it’s applied properly, however, it shouldn’t be obvious at all.
Screaming eye shadow– yes, we can go colorful with our eye but we shouldn’t choose colors that do not complement our skin tone.
