Vice President, Mr K.B. Amissah-Arthur, on Friday hosted Ghanaian teenage movie star, Abraham Ataah at the Flagstaff House in Accra when he returned from the States after a week stay where he attended the Oscars to present an award and also won the Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Film Awards .
The multiple-award winning star was accompanied by his parents to the presidential palace.
Mr Amissah-Arthur congratulated him for his feat in the global movie industry and encouraged the teenage star to sharpen his talent by taking his academic work seriously. “You are a role model. Those who criticised you want you to do better and so do not let that bring you down”, he further added.
After the meeting, Vice-President Amissah-Arthur took Facebook to congratulate him for promoting Ghana and being a "fine ambassador for our country".
"It was pleasant hosting Abraham Attah of Beast of No Nation fame at the Flagstaff House today. Congratulations to Abraham Attah for promoting Ghana and for being a fine ambassador for our country,” he wrote.
Veep is said to have presented Abraham with a laptop and he in return thanked the Vice President for hosting him. He also thanked the people of Ghana as well as his parents for supporting his cause.
