Video And Photos From Celine Dion's Husband, Rene Angelil's Live Streamed Funeral

On Thrusday January 21, Celine Dion was joined by fans of René Angélil's to pay their final respects to him at a public casket viewing at Notre-Dame Basilica in Old Montreal. The 47-year-old singer hid her face behind a black veil but it was obvious that she was really distraught and in pain.

Celine Dion greeted all those who were lined up to pay homage to her late husband, sharing hugs and tears as well.

Also at the service was Celine Dion's mother Thérèse, 88, and René's brother André, his sons Patrick and Jean-Pierrem, daughter Anne-Marie Angelil as well as Celine's eldest René-Charles, aged 14, who is named after his late father.'

On Friday afternoon, January 22, Angélil was buried during a funeral service at the same church, where Dion and her husband were married in 1994. The funeral service was live streamed. Among those in attendance were Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau and federal Heritage Minister Melanie Joly.

As i had previously reported, the Canadian singer's husband passed away at 73 on January 14 after a "lengthy and courageous" battle with cancer. The funeral was reportedly planned by Angélil before his death.
