Sensational singer, Jane Fawzia Awindor, Best known as Efya has been named the headliner of this year's 'Girl Talk' concert, which is slated for December 18th at the National Theater, taking over from Becca, who has headlined the show since it's inception.
The announcement was made on Tuesday at Surfline LTE lounge in Osu, during the launch of this year's concert.
The Chief Executive of Palm Media, Emmanuel Kiki Banson, said his outfit after scrutinizing and traveling to some African countries to search for the next female art to headline this year’s event finally arrived at the decision of choosing Efya after watching her on stage for over two hours at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra.
According to him, the “Best In Me" singer is one of the most creative musicians and top singers across the continent and to have her headlining this year’s concert is amazing for Ghana and beyond.
The multiple award-winning songstress expressed joy for being the next art to headline the show for the next three years. She stated that, “It was a great feeling" when she was contacted to headline the show, especially taking up the mantle from the person she’s looked up to, adding, “It was a great feeling. I cannot wait to show everybody how good it is going to be like.”
